Using VPC Win XP license on Parallels

Message:

I have been nothing but frustrated with VPC since I bought it for
almost $300. It never ran the programs I wanted to run - when it did,
the icons and file names and some fields would be blacked out and
unresponsive.

Now I upgrade my equipment to Intel based Mac's and VPC wont event run
on it - and it doesnt look like they are going to be fixing it either.

So I would very much like to be able to use my VPC Win XP license on
Parallels. I mean I bought the license to the OS and it is supposed to
be transferable when you upgrade equipment (wasnt there a big stink
about how this was supposed to be done when XP came out - about having
to re-register the license with MS?)

Given that the OS image is buried in the VPC disks, I cant even get a
copy of it that Parallels will install.

Has anyone else been down this road? Any advice or suggestions? Is
Microsoft going to screw us Mac users once again?
