I have Windows 2000 running on Virtual PC. I was in the process of shutting
down my Mac and the virtual PC did not completely save the state of the PC.
Now when I boot up I get the message "Reboot and select proper boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device." I have attempted to remount
the PC image however it is dithered out and I can not select it. I have had
this problem before and a local tech helped me fix it but I am no longer in
the area that he is. I have CRITICAL data I need and my last backup was last
week. Can anyone PLEASE help me?

Nonsense, Hugh. The OP knows very well to shut down Win 2000 completely.
He just didn't realize that it had not finished shutting down when he shut
down the Mac.

What issues do you suppose there to be with Win 2000 simply because it might
be a legacy product? Has its code somehow changed through aging? In fact
it is still in its active support cycle and is not yet a legacy product.
