VPC 2004 for MAC - DOS VM Additions FSHARE.EXE is BROKEN

Source: microsoft.public.mac.virtualpc
Sent: 07/02/2006
From: John
Message:

Using OS X 10.4.7 w/Journalized HFS+ file system. Attempting to share file
off of host desktop using DOS VM Additions.

Tried both DOS 6.22 and DOS 7.1 with same result.

Added additions, LASTDRIVE=Z exists, EMM386 does not, shared a folder in DOS
and FSHARE loads fine but unable to access files on host machine.

Change to Z: drive and a DIR command shows a neverending stream of
????????.??? files.

Other users in third-party discussion forums report same problem.
Apparently reverting to an odler version of FSHARE.EXE (which I do not have)
solves this problem.

If anyone from VPC development reads this, please help - I just bought brand
new copy of VPC 2004 for MAC and I really don't feel as if I should have to
spend an additional $35 through PSS in order to tell you that there is a
problem with your software.

Thanks,
John
