This new development by Apple will allow easy partitioning and setup of XP
on new Intel Macs. It will allow a choice at boot time by holding down the
Option key, allowing booting into EITHER Mac OSX OR XP.

P.S. I still favor a virtualization scheme so I don't have to reboot, but
by using FAT32, I presume I can still exchange files back and forth easily.

It seems that there are several companies working on virtualization software
for Intel Macs that, it would seem, threaten to make Virtual PC as we know
it obsolete -- e.g., www. parallels.com. I don't have an Intel Mac (yet!),
but take a look at this demo of Parallels at www.prodedgy.com/article/51.
Really fast, and it runs Linux, too!

As the Mac Intel line of computers expands, I think the next year in this
industry is going to be very interesting -- and competitive.

Yes - don't hold your breath for VPC8 for Intel Macs...

Now if Boot Camp could be a switchable user under OS X (rotating cube
between XP and OS X) then I would be impressed. The important issue is
sharing data and resources, which VPC7 does quite well.
