Hello,

I just purchased a Verizon Samsung SCH-A950 phone. I also purchased
their music connection pack which included a USB cable and a driver CD
for syncing with the PC. I installed the USB drivers and plugged in the
phone to my mac (through a powered USB hub). When I click on USB
settings, in the list of USB devices is: SAMSUNG CDMA Technologies. I
checked the box next to that, then restarted the virtual computer.
However, it still won't show up in the hardware list. Also, WMP 10
can't see it, neither can the program BitPim which I found is useful in
connecting to CDMA devices. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They don't list your phone which is entirely possible if it's to "new".

.... the Mac picks up this USB device and classifies it as a USB
serial device. What Virtual PC does after that is that it makes it
available as a serial device under COM1 or COM2. Check that Virtual
PC is listing your USB device as a serial port device!

Once that is established, you can then make your phone software talk
to your phone via COM1 or COM2 (not through USB).

My phone does work with Windows on the Mac's USB port, but it also
works with Bluetooth on my Mac anyway (via Bluetooth Exchange), so
for me, the whole Windows connectivity issue was unnecessary in the
end! But it was great to learn that it works... after I spent a day
finding out that Virtual PC could treat certain USB devices as other
types of devices, depending on how the Mac treats it.
