Windows won"t shut down in VPC

I am running VPC 7.0.2 on an iMac G4 running 10.4.4. I can't get
Windows to shut down in the normal way, by going to the start button,
and following through to Shut down. I think it maybe that my Window XP
Professional may have locked up the Virtual hard drive, but I can't
seem to find a way to fix it. I can't open any programs, windows, etc.
nothing seems to work.

Any ideas out there?

Go to PC in the Virtual PC menu bar. Click on Reset.
