remote Quickbooks

hello, this group has been invaluable to me in navigating small
problems with VPC. so I thought I'd share at least a few things I've
learned along the way with Quickbooks. When I bought QB Pro 2006 I
couldn't get it to load, until I read a tip on here to copy the entire
CD into the Windows Desktop and install it from there. That worked like
a charm. Now I've seen more threads on that problem, with some folks
reporting that as not necessary. A search on QuickBooks will show you a
variety of solutions.

You may be interested to know that VPC does work with Remote Accounting
Systems FTP desktop tool. This is a service CPA's use to review their
client's QB file, without having to email it back and forth, thus
avoiding attachment size limits. The RAS people were rather skeptical
their FTP tool would work on a Mac and were not quite familiar with
what VPC was, but I convinced them to let me try downloading and
installing their applet, and it works perfectly. So if you want to run
Windows Quickbooks on your Mac and your CPA asks you to use RAS for
reviewing the data, it will work with VPC.
