HELP!! Virtual PC 7 won"t install to Applications folder

The installation goes as normal from inserting the disk 1 installation
disk to installing virtual pc 7 right up to the restart bit (step 1 in
the 3 step install process). However after resetting the installer
doesn't come back up to continue, there is no virtual pc in the
applications folder, and if I try to run the installation again it
repeats itself.
