Is VP6.1.1 only good to run on Panther (Mac OS 10.3.9)?

I have been wanting to install Tiger. MacTopia shows that for Tiger VP7
is required.

I would rather wait until MicroSoft comes out with Office for Mac 2006,
has anyone heard of rumers of the date this will be available?

I run VPC6 in Tiger from time to time. You will get a networking error
message when VPC loads but if you dont need networking/internet you can
ignore it.
