taxcut 2005 application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)

I just installed taxcut 2005 in virtual pc 7 running windows xp pro.
The program installed okay, but when trying to run the program, I get
an error that states "the application failed to initialize properly
(0xc0000005)." taxcut 2004 runs perfect on virtual pc 7. Any ideas
out there on how to fix this problem? Too bad a mac version isn't
available.
