I was online with Microsoft Tech support for 3 hours and they could not
help me. My VM is recognizing the connection to the Palm TX, but
eventhough I have disabled the Sync in the Mac sync manager, I am just
not able to sync with VM 7.0.2. I am using Mac 10.3.9. Can anyone help
me? Is there perhaps another way to sync that I am not aware of?

As a SWAG, I'd say if the TX is a USB2 device, you're rather out of
luck. VPC doesn't emulate a USB2 device and support for USB 1.1 is
spotty.

If you can talk to the Palm on your Mac, isn't that good enough?
Otherwise, you may have to buy a cheap PC just to support your Palm.
That's your call, but seems rather silly to me.

Another option is to buy a usb to serial adapter like Keyspan and try
that. The key to this method is -> when setting up the serial adapter
on the Mac side, set the transfer rate as low as possible (like 9600).
On the VPC side, go to PC Settings and click on COM1 and select the Mac
serial port.

I believe I may have your solution Brian. Instead of using USB as the
connection for your Palm TX, connect using Bluetooth. To do this open
the Virtual PC settings for your virtual machine and select Com1. In
the Com settings under Mac serial port, select the option for Bluetooth
PDA Sync. When setting up Hot Sync, change the sync speed to 19,200 in
the hot sync manager. You will notice the speed is not as fast as USB
but it will work.
