syncing my new audiovox 6700 smartphone

My new smartphone is an audiovox 6700 (Verizon), and I've got an issue
which none of the techs with Audiovox, Virtual PC or Verizon have been
able to clear up ....
The main reason I have Virtual PC is because I need Activesync in order
to sync my phones.
It worked fine with my last PDA, a Samsung i700 sph, but the audiovox
is giving me trouble.
My Virtual PC is seeing the pocket pc, attached to the usb port and
also in the "my computer" it's showing a mobile device, but activesync
doesn't see it, it won't connect.

After talkign to techs, the assumption is that that audiovox drivers
are not being loaded correctly, but there are no drivers to be had out
there in cyberworld to update or correct. Apparently they come within
the activesync program only.
I could sync it on a real pc, but that's not what I want to do.
The only thing I've found out there, and they're still working on 5.0,
so it's not supported yet - is a PocketMac program -

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Debra
