Evening all,

I completed installing Virtual PC 7 for Mac with Windows XP. I am unable to
run windows Update or complete the license activation online. I am able to
surf and ping servers all over the web.

I have made sure that the windows firewall is disabled and that the VPC
networking is set to shared. I have a valid IP address.

Any thoughts?

I have the same problem like Mark.

I followed your recommendation and look at there, the MTU size had to be
adjusted ... BUT ... after changing and rebooting the virtual PC, the "new"
MTU size was not low enough ... so I tested and found the "right" size ...
then I changed, rebooted ... guess what ... I had to downsize again ... and
so on ... I now stoped at an MTU size of 900 ... I can't get it to work ...
any idea what could be wrong?

fyi: Running Tiger 10.4.5 ... VPC 7.0.2 ... and my office pc (native WXP
SP2) can run update within the same WLAN without any problems ... sounds like
Mac OS X and VPC issue only.

Try changing to Virtual Switch. Go to PC/PC Settings....Networking.

Another idea would be to clear the cache and cookies in Windows.

Go to Control Panel, click on Internet Options. On the General tab,
click on "delete cookies" and then click on "delete files"
