Can I burn a CD in Virtual PC??

Needing a little help here with burning a CD in Virtual PC for Mac.

We have free eBooks at our public library, but these downloadable files
are not Mac compatible. So I downloaded one intending to burn it to CD
(as any Windows user can do) by going through Virtual PC.

Only when it comes time to burn the files as an audio CD in Windows
Media Player, there is no CD burner available for it to use.

Is this one of those silly emulator things, where you can "read" from a
CD in Virtual PC but can't create one?

I tried loading the files onto the Mac side of things and burning it
there, but the rights/permissions/library data thing doesn't seem to
translate over. The files are unplayable on the Mac side without the
ability to translate permissions, so I therefore cannot burn the files
on the Mac side.

I'd appreciate any help and suggestions.

Cheers!
