Hello,
After installing Virtual PC 7 with Windows XP Pro, my ibook will no
longer sleep. The screen dims but the hard drive is still whirring. Is
there some setting I should have changed after installing?

Try disabling your COM ports in Virtual PC's virtual
machine settings (Command-T).

It could be that your ports are open, and that is
preventing the system from going to sleep.

Also, I suspect you have done this already, but check
that your Energy Saver Prefereces are set to make the
computer go to sleep.

You've installed a Microsoft product. I wouldn't want to go to sleep
