VPC hangs on boot up at dhcp screen

Hi all,

I have downloaded the free "Internet Explorer Application
Compatibility VPC Image (Win XP sp2 with IE7 pre-installed)" from MS
website
http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details.aspx?familyid=21EABB90-958F-4B64-B5F1-73D0A413C8EF&displaylang=en

what I wanted to do is to test the website we are building in IE6 and
IE7 on same machine (Win server 2003 with IE6).

My problem is, after I configured the vm, it hangs during boot up when
searching for a network (the screen showing mac address and looking
for dhcp etc)

After searching on Google, I have tried following but coludn;t solve
the hanging problem:
1. edit the vm config xml to make sure mac address is cleared
2. changed the network card setting on guest machine. I tested
everything, from not connected, local to shared network, even no
network card

what bothers me further is, this machine already has the other two vms
(one is win2k, the other is a Win server 2003) installed (by other
guys) and all work fine. I have checked the network setting of these
vms and they are simply one single "not connected" network card.

Does anyone has any idea on cause of problem and solution?? I need to
get this done so others can adapt this approach to test the website.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
