Message:Vista came on the PC. I added a new HD and isntalled XP pro on that second
one. the dual booy occurs on 2 separate physical drives, not partitions of
same drive.
Hoping to just do image on the XP because I have the XP just as I like it

repair installation of XP.
If XP came preinstalled on your computer you may not transfer the license,
even to a virtual machine on the same computer. If is a retail copy then it
might be simpler to reinstall into a vm. The Vista boot files are likely on
the XP partition so download VistaBoot Pro and copy the boot files to the
Vista partition or Vista will not boot when you remove XP.

Keep in mind that you will have to do some maintenance on XP, since
the VM's hardware is significantly different than the host PC.
You can link to a physical disk via the Disk Wizard, but you'll n eed
to remove the drive letter from Vista first.

machine may not be transferred to a vm.
