How to Connect a Network Printer in Guest (VM) OS?!?

Afternoon,

My local OS (Vista) has VPC07 with a guest OS (2000Pro) running inside. I
have an old envelope printer that does not support anything higher than XP
for its drivers. So I cannot simply add the printer to Vista and share it on
the network because it doesnt install.

I have networking established along with a shared folder to print the files
on the local machine. I changed the Network Adapter from Realtek to Shared
NAT on the VM to allow internet access and networkability.

The problem I have is that the printer is parallel and the Vista PC is USB
only. So I bought a parallel to USB cable and plugged it in...only to
discover later that VPC does not and WILL NOT ever support USB.

My actual question (and I do have one) is: If I plug this printer in to my
USB Print Server and put it on the network, will I be able to see it from the
VM and based on the info above, what needs to be done settings wise in order
to see the printer on the network. Detailed steps are appreciated!!

Thanks,
