So, you mean even though our company pre-installed or provided it to our
customer as one of bundling S/W on our devices, the final license and
execution should be performed by our end user, so it is not related to our
company and we don't need any license or right from Micronsoft officially,
right?
Providing Virtual PC by our Device
Getting License or right by End-user
Is it right?

No, that's not right. What you need to do is to look into Microsoft's VHD
Test Drive program. You can find information here (along with an email
address to request more information):

exactly what he wants. There's really no need to bother distributing VPC
since it is a free download from Microsoft in the first place.

Every program is a part of some other program, and rarely fits.

:-)
Virtual PC is free software, and can be downloaded from the Microsoft
website.
Virtual PC allows you to create virtual machines. Any software (operating
systems or applications) which you install on a virtual machine is subject
to the same licensing rules as would apply if you installed it on a physical
machine.

There's really no need to make it any more complicated than it is - the
licensing for a virtual machine is the same as the licensing for a physical
machine.
And that's all there is to it. If you built a physical machine and shipped
it to your customers, what licence(s) would be required?
It's exactly the same with virtual machines...

Last week I tried to get to grips with the VHD Test Drive program.....
I was referred there after asking the local Microsoft company for the
licensing implications in distributing VHD images of working XP
systems with our demo software loaded.
After spending a good deal of time going from one web site to another
and joining various programs and Live ID:s and things I had to fill in
a big questionnaire on line with some impossible-to-answer questions
only to finally end up with a message basically saying:
"You do not qualify to do this"
All I wanted to do was to get into this program so that I could
legally distribute our application as a demonstration system to our
sales people. It would be packaged in a VPC image preconfigured by us
and not disturbed by whatever extra software the sales people put on
their laptops.
I work for a 300+ people company part of a 7000+ people group and we
sell automation products with lots of SQL-Server based software.
I have been a MSDN member since 1996 or thereabouts.
Why we would not be qualified for the VHD program I don't know, but I
was really pissed off by the end of the very tedious attempt to join
in.
Not recommended.
