Saludos.

Quiero saber si esto se puede realizar. Tengo un equipo con Windowx XP que
tiene instalado Virtual PC 2007 en el cual he instalado sobre el un Servidor
Windows 2003 Server Enterprise para hacer pruebas con SQL Server. Puedo
configurar una red de área local "virtual" en ese equipo virtual con el
equipo local (XP) con el fin de realizar desarrollos con conectividad a la
base de datos del servidor virtual?

si, se supone que si se puede, configurando en windows xp la red a
traves del adaptador de red virtual que te instala virtualpc y
asegurandote que tienes los protocolos necesarios.
