We are interested in trying VPC 2007 for our test platforms and need to know
if we should order a Dell Poweredge 800 Server to run it. Our concern is
whether we are likely to experience driver compatability issues running Vista
/ XP on a server platform? It's unlikely that Dell provide XP/Vista drivers
for their server H/W?

Does each virtual instance need a relevant set of drivers for the H/W
platform it runs on or are the virtual sessions shielded from H/W drivers by
VPC?

For the host OS? I don't know, but I would be surprised if there
wasn't any XP drivers, the drivers are common between the server and
client OS versions. I wouldn't be surprised if there are no Vista
level drivers for that hardware, you'll have to check with Dell on
that.

The latter, VPC emulates all but the processor itself, so the host
hardware doesn't make any difference.
