Message:I ran into the same message and it set me back until I verified (through
these 'groups) that the virtual C: would be formatted. A less ambiguous
warning message would have been helpful.
I suspected that it was the virtual's C: that would be formatted, but the
consequence of guessing wrong would have been more than I was willing to
risk.

Please,
the message is displayed by the install program running *in the
virtual machine*. This program has no information whatsoever that it
is running in a virtual PC!
You *have* to realize that the virtual machine is to be considered as
a totally separate PC especially for the software running on that PC.
That is the whole purpose of the virtual PC system, right?
So how could an operating system installer output a message saying
that it is about to format the *virtual* drive when it has no
knowledge at all that it is running in a virtual environemnt??????

Er....
You're not seriously suggesting that you thought that it was going to format
your physical hard disk, are you...?
Really...?

Message:Bo, Mark
Yes, I actually did ask myself that question. Perhaps I was being too
"conservative".
Your responses suggest little patience with folks who don't know something
you do... did you intend to convey that impression? After all, isn't that
why folks post here in the 'groups, to learn more about things they don't
know enough about?
