I need help! When I try to copy the Windows 98 setup files into my virtual
hard disk, it keeps saying 'CDR101: Not ready reading drive D, Abort, Retry,
Fail?'! I tried 'Fail' but then the Windows setup and the hard disk crashes!
What should I do?!

If you have a windows 98 cd then what you need to do is go to bootdisks.com
and download the windows 98 boot disk (get the image file version). Put you
cd into you physical cd-rom. Tell VPC to capture the floppy disk image as
your floppy and use you physical drive for your cd. Then simply reset and win
98 will install.

Have you used Fdisk (within the VM) to allocate an active partition on your
virtual hard disk?

Have you then formatted the virtual disk?
