How to setup additional network adapter in existing virtual machin

I've been trying to setup an additional network adapter for one of my virtual
machines, but when I go to "Networking" in "Settings", all of the fields are
greyed out and will not let me setup another NIC. Would someone instruct me
on how to do this. Thanks in avance!!!
