Undo disks: Saving changes at shutdown of VM

Hi,

I am struggling with the following problem ... There are two disks
attached to my Windows XP virtual machine. 'Undo disks' is configured.
I want to automatically save (but not commit) the two vud files that
are associated with each undo disk at shutdown time without being
prompted.

I configured the "Close" setting in the Settings menu to "Automatically
close without a message and: Turn off". The shutdown section of the
..vmc looks like this:

<shutdown>
<prompt type="boolean">false</prompt>
<quit>
<action type="integer">2</action>
<was_running
type="boolean">false</was_running>
</quit>
<save>
<enable type="boolean">false</enable>
</save>
<shutdown>
<enable type="boolean">false</enable>
</shutdown>
<turn_off>
<enable type="boolean">true</enable>
</turn_off>
<last_shutdown>
<choice type="integer">2</choice>
<commit type="boolean">false</commit>
</last_shutdown>
<force_action type="integer">2</force_action>
</shutdown>

When I close the VM through the Virtual PC Window ("Action -> Close')
the behaviour is exactly what I want and the two vud files are saved.
However, if I shutdown the VM by running shutdown within the VM I am
always prompted at the end of the shutdown as to what I want to do
("Commit changes to the virtual disk", "Save undo disk changes",
"Delete undo disk changes"). Can I configure the VM so that I don't get
prompted at all and all changes in the undo files are saved?

And a second related question ... is there any documentation available
that describes the XML tags for Virtual PC's .vmc files?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Arend
