Virtual PC VMs hang under MCE2005

Message:

I have an HP Pavilion DV6000T (Core Duo 2) with XP Media Center 2005
installed as the host operating system. I've got 2GB RAM for memory.

I've installed Virtual PC 2004 and applied SP1 to it. All of the VMs
that run on this laptop will hang/pause every 10 seconds or so for a
few seconds, then resume. This is consistent across all VMs, no matter
what the VM OS is. I mostly use XP Pro and Windows 2003 as the VM OS.

If I am typing with the keyboard and it hangs (pauses), it will resume
and then immediately display all the characters I had been typing. I've
checked the Task Manager and see VPC moving back and forth on the
Processes CPU list between dllhost.exe, Virtual PC.exe, and
explorer.exe, but cannot pinpoint what is causing the pause.

Anyone experience these issues?
