I understand that if I install VPC 2007 beta, it will overwrite VPC 2004. I
do not want to install a beta on my system but am interested it seeing if the
most current machine additions will improve my VPC. Is there a way to get a
copy of the machine additions without installing VPC 2007 beta?

There is not a separate download for the additions on the VPC 2007 beta
site. One has to download the VPC 2007 beta distribution and extract the
vmadds .iso.
