Not enough memory available to host? But there is!

Hello all,

I know this question has been asked 50 times... but any of the other
posts doesn't explain a solution other than a) you don't have enough
RAM (take the error message literally) b) you have InCD installed and
this causes issues.

Neither of these things is true for me. I have 1GB of RAM, with ~440MB
available.

The strangest thing is that I even lowered the RAM to 8MB and still got
the same error:
"The virtual machine could not be started because there was not enough
memory available on the host."

Any help is appreciated.

it reacts with a lot more than just incd, i have had the same problem with
two different programmes, have a look in msinfo32, from the run command, go
to software enviroment, then running tasks, look at the min/max working set
columns, you should see a few "not available" and a pile the same number,
look for different numbers, I found vsmon (Zonealarm) and prevx processes
that where causing probs, quick uninstall works fine *grinz*

other people have had probs with sql services
