Dear All,

I've decided to mess around with Virtual PC, trying to connect on boot up
with my Win2k Server to have a mess with deploying OS's over the LAN.

On my proper machine I have a 'Boot from LAN' option, but I can't see this
option in the BIOS on Virtual PC. Can the BIOS be upgraded?

Or can anybody offer any solutions?

Hello,

The BIOS in your "virtual" machine is different than your physical machine,
as they are different machines with different hardware, etc.

VPC 2004 does not support PXE or boot from LAN in the BIOS. Your remote
installation utility should allow you to create a remote boot floppy disk -
this will work in VPC, as it is not tied to a BIOS option

Alternatively, Virtual Server 2005 R2 supports boot from LAN in the BIOS, if
you would specifically like to test it as a BIOS setting
