I've DELL 640m Notebook & host pc is VISTA RC1(5600).
I have downloaded Vitual PC 2007 Beta and installed it.Ok I get the virtual
PC Console I then push New and get Welcome to the New
Virtual Machine Wizard dialog box, I then goto the next button and push it,
It opens Options dialog box. it has Create a vitual machine highlighted, I
now push the next button, it opens Virtual Machine Name and Location in the
name & I have now opeating System dialog box in the operating sytem
I use Windows Xp & and click next, now I'm in memory dialog box and use the
recommended ram and recomended ram is 0(MB) now and click next, I now push
finish. In the Virtual PC Console & now setting the ram size but i'm unable
bcause i click the ram tab system hangs,I now push the start button,
the Virtual PC window comes up and has the message,
Reboot and select proper boot device
or insert Boot Media in selected Boot device. I think is right but i did not
maked any vpc.HOW CAN I DO MAKE VPC.plzzzzzzzzzzzzz ? meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

You could start by reading the help file.

You need to install an operating system after you create the virtual
machine. What you've got right now is a brand new virtual machine with
no operating system installed.

Something's wrong here, 0(MB) is not right for the default, it should be
128M of you are installing WinXP, and I wouldn't set it any lower than that.

Do you have the Windows XP install CD in your CD drive?

You've already made your virtual machine - now all you need to do is install
an operating system on it, just like a real machine...

I duplicated this problem

Asus P4P800-VM
512MB corsair twin2x512-3200c2 matched pair 512 MB ram
Windows Vista RC1 Build 5600
Virtual PC 2007 Beta

When I added another 1GB twin2x1024-3200c2, it solved the problem.

Total system RAM: 1.5GB. I believe you might be running under 1GB of memory. I read that the minimum system requirement is like 128 megs or something, but either that is false or there's something wrong with this motherboard.
