Hi,

I have a desktop PC which I use for development, and a laptop. I want to
capture a physical image of the development PC and run it in the Virtual PC
on the laptop. A quick scan through the forum suggests that this will not be
possible due to driver and hardware differences between the two machines.

I was inclined to use Windows Backup or Norton Ghost to create a physical
backup of the development machine, then restore this to a new Virtual PC
image on the laptop.

Could this work? If not, it seems to me to defeat the whole notion of
Virtual PC. It means I can only run images on the same machine on which they
were created.

Alternatively, can I install my development software to the Virtual PC?
