Set default of 2 established internet connections

Hi everybody

I have two running internet connections via NICs. Anyone any clue how
to set which one programs and windows should use?

Some more information:
When I work at home, I use a SonicWall VPN Client to stay connected to
my office. This gives me an auomatically assigned Address through the
SonicWall Virtual NIC. That's ok so far...
On the other hand, I have a cable modem at home which I plug in to
connect to the internet. This gives me a second, automatically assigned
IP address on my LAN/NIC. So I have two possibilities to connect to the
internet by now.

Now, the Problem is that programs (especially Outlook) connect to the
Internet via my VPN Connection, but I want them to connect via my LAN.
The reason is that the connection through my office has pretty strict
security settings, POP access for example is blocked. Therefore, I
can't use outlook whilst the VPN connection is open.

I got Windows XP pro SP2 on my comupter.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Benjamin
