I just downloaded and installed Virtual PC 2004 from Microsoft's
website.
For some reason my keyboard is not being recognized at all. I can't
type or input any commands in a running Virtual Machine. The mouse
works I believe. Both are PS/2 wireless.
This is on a desktop PC. AMD 64 X2 4400, 2GB RAM, etc.
Any help?

I'm sorry, I thought you had already installed the virtual OS. During the
installation you should be able to click inside the "virtual" window and that
will activate the keyboard. If they are not being detected it could be
because they are wireless and the install environment may not detect them. I
hope you get it going.

This could be the culprit.

The fact the kbd is wireless shouldn't matter, unless it's got odd
drivers. Can you hook up a wired USB or PS/2 kbd and rule this out?

I have had this issue before. Much searching uncovered issues with the VM
detecting the drivers if the RAM allocated to it was less that 512MB. Try
upping the RAM and giving it a shot. Once the keyboard and mouse are
working, you can reduce the RAM footprint again.
Alternately, try RDP into the VM to troubleshoot.
