I'm running VPC version 5.3.582.27, 2003. I started this little project
about a year ago but had to drop it for a while but now I'm able to get back
to it. This is what I have so far but I can't seem to connect to the
network. Here is my autoexec.bat and the results of running the first few
network commands. Maybe someone can spot something obvious or has seen this
before.

No, local only allows only guest to guest communication. Unless you
have another VM running a DHCP server, you're not going to be able to
connect to anything. If you want your VM to connect to an external
network, you should select the host's network card listed.

See the VPC help for detailed explanations of the different options
for networking.
