full screen at lesser resolution

I have no experience with Virtual PC product, so here is a totally green
question.

Background info: Shared computer; XP Pro installed on the physical PC; 2
user accounts. The one account runs at 1280x1024 for myself. The other
account runs at 1024x768 for someone else. This is not supported by XP, but
I found a quirky little tool called XPKeepPerUserDisplaySettings that handles
this for me. I say quirky because it started failing to consistently do its
job recently. So I'm looking for an alternative, like Virtual PC or whatever.

So the question: Let's say I run the Virtual PC host under the 1280x1024
resolution. Can I build and run a Virtual PC guest which runs at the lower
resolution and yet runs full screen? Specifically, I do not want the
1024x768 session to run in a window within the 1280x1024 screen. When I
switch to the 1024x768 Virtual PC, it must be able to go full screen.
Possible?
