Sound Distorted & Cursor Erradic

,I created a virtual machine called Windows XP Pro SP2 v0 and when I clicked
Start
Windows started-up, however the sound announcing Windows was distorted. It
was as if it paused and started, paused and started. I don't understand why
this would happen. Can someone help me?

Another problem is control over positioning the cursor is awful. I have a
Logitech optical mouse attached to the USB port. When I press the Righ-tAlt
key and the Enter key I can move the pointer from inside the Virtual Machine
window and then the control is fine. So for some reason the virtual machine
doesn't communic the mouse very well.

If anyone can help me on these matters I woul appreciate it.

You need to install the "VM Additions" by clicking "Action"->Install VM
Additions. That should take care of at least the mouse problem, and
maybe the other one too.

I performed the VM Additions update you suggested and afterward the problem I
was having with the cursor completely vanished. However the sound distortion
continues. I wonder what could be causing it?

Under Sounds and Audio Properties, the Volume tab it says , Sound Blaster
16, Device volume is et to high. I clicked on the Advanced tab and all Volume
controls are all checked, none is mute, all are balanced 50/50. I am out of
ideas. Please advice how to coreect the audio distortion. What causes the
sound to play, pause, play.

The sound is still distorted. I would say it is slurred, rather than pause
and restart. What can be done to correct this problem?

CPU), installing the VM Additions, getting a faster CPU, all will

Also, emulation has never been a good place for multimedia apps,
they're generally too depending of the system's resources.

My CPU is Intel Pentium M, 2.00GHz.
Only program running is VPC 2004
Additions have been installed

Will I be able to use a microphone and speaker headset customarily used with
Dragon Naturally Speaking speech recognition software system?
