Guest OS cannot see internet

I have a Virtual PC environment that has been working well for about a year.
Recently, all virtual pc session cannot see other machines on the network.
The host machine has connection and is functioning well. The guest OS does
have an IP address to the network and it looks as if it is registered with
DHCP service on the network. When I try to access the internet or ping local
machines it fails. I have disabled all firewall and AV software on both host
and guest. Has anyone run into this problem? Any solutions?

try to go to the virtual machine 'Settings' while it is not running.
Go to 'Networking'
Choose 'Shared networking (NAT)' in Adapter1

Maybe it helps maybe not but give it a try
