I am trying to run a DR DOS virtual pc, and I cant even get it to start.
First it says that the "A20 address line is already enabled", Frames=none.
Then "The memory manager (emm386.exe) has detected an errer caused by a fault
in one of the device driver or programs loaded in the system. Due to this
fault the systen is unstable..." and then it gives me an " Exception 6
(invalid opcode) and reccomends C+A+D to reboot.
I've tried stepping thru the startup by pressing F-8, but no matter what I
skip loading , it still wont start.
Any ideas>?
BTW: I unfortunately thru out my MS DOS disk a few years ago so have to try
DR DOS.

You should also make sure that you are not loading FSHARE in your
autoexec.bat file.

When I remove the line that contains VMADD386.SYS, the system boots,
and all is well, except that none of the DOS VM Additions work. I would
really like to get IDLE.COM working, but when I execute it, I get the
message "IDLE is disabled".

So, if someone has a working system with FSHARE.EXE and IDLE.COM,
please advise on what you did to get it working.
