Mac address filtering bypassed by VM?

I have Mac address filtering on my wireless access point turned on. The host
(WinXP Pro) is an authorized Mac address. Virtual Machines Win98SE and Puppy
Linux 2.01 on this host is obtaining an IP address automatically even though
the Mac address (Virtual) is not on the authorized list. Looking at the
Status page on the access point, it is showing two IP address for one Mac
address.
Is this any reason to be concerned?

about. My virtual Machines connect to the Internet just fine with its own
(different than the host) IP address, but its using the Host Mac address to
obtain an IP from the access point. Also I do not have Internet connection
sharing installed on the host.
My point was, is this a security concern?

I would think that the first paragraph did explain why DHCP showed that
the vm was using the host machine's MAC address.
