VPC causes reboot loop on an XP Pro v2002 with SP2. Has anyone else come
across this particular problem. I have identical machines on my network that
are running the same software with the same setup. My recourse has been to
run system restore to a point prior to the installation of VPC and
reinstalling and redownloading VPC from another source. I recive the same
effect of reboot loop.

Possible Solutions?

The host machine is the machine with the rebooting loop. Rebooting takes
place after I try to log into the host, ie enter user name and pass then
continue, reboot occures. I can access the OS in safe mode on the machine
with VPC installed and have done so to access system restore. The indentical
machine with VPC installed and working properly is a freshly ghosted machine
created with the same image as the "reboot looper host."

I will look for upgraded drivers to try and resolve this problem. Further
suggestions are welcome.

That sure sounds like a network driver problem to me, and I'd definitely
check the BIOS version as Steve said.

Thanks Robert! You hit the nail on the head. It appears that once I updated
the device drivers for the Broadcom NetXtreme GigE NIC the problem was
resolved.
