During installation you are presented with some configurations. One key one
is the color depth. Be sure you do not let it configure for 24-bit color
depth. Choose 16 or 32. SuSE may think that because it is a Trio card that
it can support 24-bit, but even though the real Trio can the emulated one in
VPC cannot.

easy to reinstall. I expect someone will be along to tell you how to edit
the configuration file, so you have options.
