Trouble copying file from Virtual PC to host

I'm getting an error when I try to copy a file from Virtual PC to my host
computer. The error I am getting is "Virtual PC has encountered an error on
the host while copying files" followed by "An error in Virtual PC has
occurred(d3)."

I should add that I have Virtual Machine Additions installed and I've been
able to copy files from the host to Virtual PC. I don't understand why I
can't copy files in the other direction.

If I can't get this to work, my other option is to try creating a shared
drive but I'd like to get the copy to work since it's simpler.

Any ideas?

Old joke: Why do you find a lost object in the last place you looked?
Because you stop looking when you find it. But computers don't understand
this joke.

The action you usually take as a last resort is the action that works around
the problem. It temporarily solves the problem until the next time the
problem recurs.

In order to really really solve the problem, you have to keep hunting for
more last resorts. Even after you think you solved the problem, don't quit
your search and return to your ordinary work. Keep trying to reproduce the
problem and search for other ways to solve the problem. Eventually you'll
find the real solution. Unfortunately you usually need the source code.

Rebooting of host does not resolve my issue with copying of 985mb files from
guest running Windows XP Pro to host running Vista Business. Any idea?

If you get errors when using the vPC2007 "shared folder" system it may
well be because of a known problem with this:
1) If the folder on the host that is shared contains a lot of
files/subfolders/files etc in a deep tree, then the VPC2007 shared
folders does not work. It is only working reliably if the shared
folder is a single folder with only a few files and no subfolders.

2) If the file to copy is very large there are also problems using the
VPC2007 shared folder feature.

Basically, whenever possible use the sharing and communication system
provided by the *operating system* on the guest and host to copy files
back and forth.
