Big problem

Hello,
I am a student and my university has enrolled itself to some Microsoft
program which give me the opportunity to have access to some of the Microsoft
products.I took from my university original disks of Windows XP, Windows
server 2003 and 2000, Longhorn and more OS.
I did this by puting the original disk in my CD-ROM and then i just copied
the whole disk to my hard disk.
I installed Virtual PC and i tried to install some OS. I did this by coping
from the hard disk the information of the OS to a CD-RW and CD-R disk. Then i
order the Virtual PC to use the CD-ROM but i always receive a message -
please insert boot media or boot device or it happens that it starts Caldera
DOS and when i go to my disk using this dos and when i start setup it is
wriiten that i can not start it from dos. I tried with the fiile winnt.exe
but nothing happens. I had a success with Windows 2000 because in the
instalation files there were some boot images that i used, but XP and
Windows server 2003 there are not such files. So my problem is to boot? I
will be happy if you can help me!
Sorry for my English:)
