Hello, I am new to this newsgroup. You can usually find me in the Windows
Vista Newgroups.

I just installed Virtual PC 2004 in Windows Vista. The only version that
seemed to work right was Windows 2000. There is just one problem, I can't
connect to the internet. I would really appreciate help. Thanks

Check the Settings on the vm for the network adaptor and make sure the right
one is chosen. If you have both wireless and wired the setting will default
to wired. (You do not have to shutdown to change this setting)

Check the networking settings in IE Tools.

forgot that. It works fine now. I think the reason why I couldn't install ME
on VPC, was because you had to run FDISK to create partitions and that was a
little difficult. I am going to try to update Windows 2000 and then try to
UPGRADE to Windows XP. Do you think I can print in the Virtual Machine? I
have already installed those extras given, which gave me the opportunity to
share folders and drag and drop files.

Fdisk is easy enough to use. Just accept the defaults.

Colin, I am running Windows XP on VPC. It took very, very long, but it
finally worked. The first time, there was an issue because the installation
had been corrupt, so when 13 minutes were left, it restarted and it was back
to 39 minutes, and it did it again for two more times. So I decided to start
new Clean. and this time it worked.

I am so proud of my computer. I bought it on Christmas on 2004, 256 MB of
RAM, and I still have Windows Vista, and Windows XP running. I have to buy
more RAM, but I am young (13 years old) and its difficult to raise money, and
my parents think its a waste. We just bought our new house, and they have
been very picky about how they spend the money.
