When I attempt to install XP Home Edition into a new Virtual PC Machine, it
boots, displays the startup installation screen. I get a fatal error *** STOP
0x0000008E..." - at the point that it attempts to copy files from the DVD, I
believe. (When I hit ENTER to start the installation).

The disk for the VM is 16 Gigs, fixed size.

This would seem to be a pretty basic sort of operation: Install VPC, setup
a virtual machine for XP.

What might be wrong? How can I trouble shoot this?
