to AutoBoot the host/guest VM's unattended.

I can't imagine this is the case, anyone care to give me some ammo to throw
back?

It's not true, it can most certainly do that as it runs as a service. You
can set it to shut down or save state of the VM's when shutting down the
host and set them to autostart after the host reboots. (with a delay if you
want it)

It's Virtual PC that wouldn't work in that scenario, as a user has to
actually log in and there's no real facility for autostarting other than a
command line batch file in the startup.
