the guest is showing only a pentium D2.8 without the hyper threading
feature.
is there some performance impact on the host or the guest with pentiumD ?

anyway i did not encounter the freezing problem with HT CPU on host.

In other word, It is ok for good dual Core CP as host. AS matter fact, I
saw a ms team did demo on dual opteron last year

You are right, dual CPU systems are "ok for good". While all your VMs
will only use one CPU, other threads, like video, disk, etc can be
spun to a 2nd CPU.
