Disk Space reported incorrectly

Hi,

I have developed a program which calls both GetDiskFreeSpace, and
GetDiskFreeSpaceEx, and displays the results in bytes, Kb, Mb, and Gb.
When i run the program on my normal PC, pointing it to a portable USB
hard disk attached to my machine i get the following results,

GetDiskFreeSpace returns 1600Kb
GetDiskFreeSpaceEx returns 1600Kb.

I needed to test the application on a Windows ME machine, so set up an
ME virtual Machine, and created a mapped drive from the Virtual PC,
running ME. When i now run the application both functions appear to
return values for the free space rounded to 1Mb. So via the virtual PC
reporting on the same disk as above i got,

GetDiskFreeSpace returns 1024Kb = 1Mb
GetDiskFreeSpaceEx returns 1024Kb = 1Mb.

I am wondering whether this is due to:-
a) The fact that i connect to the mapped drive via our Network
b) Virtual PC is affecting the results returned
c) The OS, Windows ME, is rounding the results.

I would grately appreciate some assistance.

Many Thanks in advance,
Matt Gibson.
