Startup loop after Windows Update on Win XP

Source: microsoft.public.virtualpc

Message:

I have worked with Virtual PC nearly every day probably one year (or two...)
but never had a huge "unsolvable" problem as the one I have now. After
installation of January windows update on my Win XP Pro I have problems with
starting a VPC-machine, which also has Win XP Pro and the latest update .
Endless startup loop appears when I tries to open it. I switched from "Shared
Networking" to my network card and managed to quit the loop and get it
started, but I couldn't get out on the internet. Then I restarted it, and a
new endless startup loop appeared. I changed back from my network card to
"shared network" without any luck. When I changed to "local only" I could get
it started, but I need to get out on the internet (VPN)...

Hopes that anyone can help me...

Thanks in advance

/Karin
