This might be a linux question but when I installed SUSE Linux I set a
monitor with 800x600 resolution that I don't seem to be able to change.
Is there something in VPC that I can change so that SUSE thinks there is a
new monitor attached and I can set the resolution to something higher ?

You did not mention which edition of SuSE you are using, but in general you
should set the configuration during the YaST post installation stage. I
have had the same result as you with some of the beta releases. You want to
use a Generic LCD monitor (regardless of what your monitor really is),
16-bit color depth, and "thousands of colors." The changes are all in SuSE,
not in VPC.
